Isuru Praveen Ranasinghe is an internationally acclaimed wildlife photographer and conservationist, widely recognized for his compelling visual storytelling and deep commitment to protecting the natural world. Beginning his photographic journey in 2012, Isuru has built an impressive career spanning over 15 years, earning a distinguished reputation in wildlife and nature photography.
His work has received numerous national and international accolades, including State Awards and prestigious honors from FIAP, PSA, and GPU, with multiple gold medals to his name. With over 800 international acceptances across more than 40 countries, his photography reflects not only technical excellence but also a profound understanding of wildlife behavior and ecosystems.
Beyond awards and recognition, Isuru is deeply dedicated to wildlife conservation and environmental advocacy. He currently serves as the Vice President of the Wild Sri Lanka Society, where he actively contributes to conservation initiatives, wildlife awareness programs, and responsible nature-based tourism efforts across the country.
Isuru is also committed to education and mentorship, conducting photography lectures, wildlife workshops, and field-based learning experiences that promote ethical wildlife photography and habitat protection. He is the owner of IK Photography & Cinematography, where he works professionally in wedding and event photography, balancing commercial excellence with artistic integrity.
Driven by a lifelong passion for nature, Isuru continues to use wildlife photography as a powerful tool for conservation storytelling. He is an admin of the Kumana Leopard Diary, contributing to long-term wildlife documentation and conservation-focused awareness. In addition, he organizes and leads guided wildlife tours across Sri Lanka's major national parks, sharing his extensive knowledge of wildlife, conservation practices, and local ecosystems with both local and international visitors.
